Installation

This section helps you get Leapwork installed in the setup your organization has chosen.

Before you start, make sure you know your deployment model and your edition. If you are not sure which deployment model you are using (on-premise, cloud, or hybrid), review Architecture Overview first. It explains the available deployment scenarios and how the components are typically placed in each setup.

Once you know your target setup, use the guides in this section to complete the installation in the right order.

What you will do here

You will typically follow one of these paths:

If you are evaluating Leapwork, start with the Trial guide. It walks you through installation and activation so you can begin testing quickly. When you finish the trial, you move to a production setup based on what your organization selects, for example Enterprise or Platform.

If you are deploying Leapwork for production, use the guide that matches your edition. Enterprise and Platform have different requirements, so it is important to follow the correct installation path.

Optional deployment routes

Some installations follow a specific route depending on how Leapwork is provisioned:

If your Controller and Agents are hosted in Leapwork Cloud, use the Cloud guide to install what you need locally and connect to the cloud hosted environment.

If your organization deploys Leapwork through Azure Marketplace, use the Azure Marketplace guide for that flow.

Installation methods for restricted environments

If your environment has strict security or network policies, you may need a different installation method:

Use Offline installation when the target system cannot access the internet and installation and activation must be completed without a live connection.

Use Silent installation when you need an unattended install for managed rollouts (for example, through IT deployment tools).

Mobile automation

If you plan to run automation on mobile devices, follow the Mobile installation guide to set up the mobile prerequisites and connectivity.
